Krapp (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Krapp mobile application (the “App”) and the website https://krapp.is (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our App and Site. By using Krapp, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

App Data

  • Location Data: To show you the nearest restroom, Krapp may request access to your device’s GPS location. This data is only used in real-time on your device and is not stored by us.

  • Device Information: We may collect anonymous technical data (such as device type, operating system, language settings) to improve the App’s performance and user experience.

  • Advertising Data: Krapp uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and process certain data (such as your advertising ID, device information, approximate location, or browsing behavior) in order to provide personalized or non-personalized ads. Website Data

  • Comments: When visitors leave comments on our Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

  • Media: If you upload images, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as other visitors can download and extract this data.

  • Cookies: We may store cookies to remember login details, display preferences, or to check if your browser accepts cookies. Cookies used on the Site do not contain personal data unless provided by you.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Show you the nearest restroom based on your location.

    • On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable tracking for Krapp.

Sharing of Data

  • Comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

  • Advertising data is shared with Google AdMob for the purpose of serving ads. We do not sell or share your personal data with other third parties.

Children’s Privacy

Krapp is intended for general use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents who believe their child has provided us with personal data may request deletion by contacting us.
